Alex is a passionate and experienced instructor offering a dynamic range of lessons focusing on rock and metal styles and advanced techniques. With over 15+ years of experience Alex offers tailored lessons to help students become the players they want to be and enjoy the process along the way. Many of his students have developed a real passion for music and have gone on to study music at college and university level and form bands themselves.
Alex's teaching philosophy is around structured and detailed lesson plans to suit your needs, with the ultimate goal to provide you with all the tools you'd need to navigate the music landscape with certainty and freedom. His approach emphasises strong fundamentals, including music theory, technical skills and repoirtoire. Whether you're looking to master your favourite songs, improve your grades, or dive into advanced techniques like sweep picking and fretboard mastery, my lessons are designed to elevate your playing to the next level.
Online Guitar Lessons
With a modern home studio setup Alex offers fantastic quality lessons both online wherever you are in the world. All you need is a good quality internet connection, a computer or tablet , a good quality speaker or headphones and of course, your guitar. It is not necessary to have advanced setups to benefit from the online experience.
Working from his home studio, Alex uses the latest technology to ensure the highest quality experience for the student including:
-High speed internet connection to ensure smooth and fluid communication
-4k multi-angle camera setup including left and right hand close ups
-High quality lighting for a clear image well lit cinematic image
-I use the legendary Shure SM7b for pristine voice audio.
-I use plugins from Neural DSPs sent directly to you for super realistic amp sounds
-I integrate Apps such as Guitar Pro and Neck Diagrams so you have clear resources from which to practice
-All lessons run on Zoom for the best and audio and visual quality
-Ability to record the whole lesson or parts for future reference.
-No need to wait in traffic on a rainy night!! (that the best reason)
